Prospective Parliamentary Candidates Dave Fowler (Buckingham) and Chris Adams (Aylesbury) have had complaints about the workmanship at council tenants homes in the Vale. Several residents, many elderly have contacted UKIP complaining about work they have been told to finish themselves and where equipment has broken a few weeks after being fitted. One elderly lady was left without water for six weeks after her kitchen was refitted. Mr Fowler (UKIP) said she was told the person who dismantled her kitchen forgot to communicate with the fitting contractor. "the lady, not wanting to complain, fetched water from her neighbour for the duration." Dave was also told that maintenance staff have given him reports of bad work as well. "They have complained to me that they are often sent to a botch job to touch up paintwork with the wrong colours to use up paint - nobody cares, apart from the tenants who live with the results of this incompetence."

New UKIP Aylesbury Vale Car shines and promotes -7-2-08

Chris Adams PPC for Aylesbury has had his car converted into a glowing marketing advertisement machine when he drives through the constituencies of Aylesbury & Buckingham. Chris was stopped by a passer by outside the Bucks County Offices today and instantly converted a member of the public to join UKIP. The lady lived in Nash just 3 miles north of Winslow. The lady was delighted to see the car and was handed a newsletter and joining form, she even said that she had always voted Conservative but enough was enough under David Cameron. At this rate UKIP will be collecting more votes at the next by-election or the County Council elections next May 2009.
